Trend Report: Spring 2016

Masculine / Feminine

Utilitarian silhouettes gain a softness this season for a fresh take on spring that’s all about natural glamour. A muted palette of whites, taupes and grays lend an earthy elegance to the relaxed tailoring, with crisp cotton and linen gauze unlined and stripped of structure. Slouchy trousers with fold-over waists lend a borrowed-from-the-boys appeal. Slashing and wrapping adds intrigue and edge, cinching loose silhouettes and adding a dose of femininity. With both masculine and feminine accents, the breezy insouciance of the clothing is undeniably alluring.

This season, sexiness is much more subtle. It’s covered-up, it’s slouchy, it’s chic.
