ALL ACCESS KORS
I love gardens, but I’m a terrible gardener. This collection was my opportunity to design my own garden full of fabulous, graphic spring florals.
The flowers on the Michael Kors Collection Spring 2017 runway were definitely not of the garden variety. Whether hand-crafted from beads, sequins and paillettes for a 3-D effect, embroidered on cashmere, printed on crepe de chine or woven into jacquard, opulent blooms made for one glamorous bouquet. Happy hues from azalea to aquamarine dialed up the optimistic motif, putting a spring into every model’s step.
An abundance of artfully rendered petals in tortoise resin, leather, soutache embroidery and intarsia were in full bloom on Bermuda bags and daytime clutches, promising to lend feminine flourish to a bevy of next-season looks.
If full-on florals are not your thing, the footwear offered an easy way to step into the trend with platforms and wedges adorned in pretty flowers of all shapes and sizes.
