Thanks to you, we've helped the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) deliver five million meals to hungry children around the world. “I’m grateful and thrilled,” says Michael Kors. “When we started this partnership with WFP, we hoped our customers would join us in building a world with zero hunger, and they have.”
Freedom from chronic hunger is the foundation for children's futures and the focus of the “Watch Hunger Stop” campaign, which was launched in 2013 with the specially designed 100 Series watch. For each timepiece sold, 100 children in hunger-stricken areas have received a nutritious meal through WFP’s school meals program.*
Of course, hunger remains a global problem, and Watch Hunger Stop continues to raise funds and awareness so more people can help end it. This fall, Michael Kors is launching a new, limited-edition 100 Series watch. Also, during the month of October, in conjunction with World Food Day (October 16), visitors to Michael Kors retail stores around the world will be able to make a $5, $10 or $25 donation to WFP at the register.
