Michael Kors, Hugh Jackman, Deborra-lee Furness and Lance Le Pere.

The stars were aligned at Spring Studios on Tuesday night as Naomi Watts, Priyanka Chopra, Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-lee Furness, Bette Midler, Ashley Graham, Iman, Neil Patrick Harris and more A-listers joined together to support the God’s Love We Deliver 12th annual Golden Heart Awards. The evening raised $2.5 million in funds for the charitable nonprofit during a live auction led by Christie’s auctioneer Lydia Fenet.

As befits an organization dedicated to spreading love through food—God’s Love We Deliver preps and couriers more than 7,200 nutritious meals each week for people with serious illnesses—there was no shortage of culinary delights on hand. Models and fashion insiders buzzed from one restaurant station to the next, sampling hors d’oeuvres from iconic New York City landmarks such as Katz’s Delicatessen, Russ & Daughters, Murray’s Cheese Bar and Gramercy Tavern.

During dinner, Nathan Lane earned raucous cheers and applause for his spirited homage to Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner before presenting him with the Golden Heart Award for Lifetime Achievement.

“[Tony] cares deeply and passionately about everything that’s going on in the world and everyone in it. With his genius for language and communication, he spends his life trying to show us who we are and who we might become, and his brilliant writing has touched all of our lives in a profound way,” Lane said of the “Angels in America” playwright.

The evening also honored former Sotheby’s auctioneer Jamie Niven, who has helped raise over $500 million for charitable causes during his career, with a Golden Heart Award for Outstanding Volunteerism.

Finally, all eyes were on Kors as he presented the evening’s Michael Kors Award for Outstanding Community Service to Jackman, whom Kors called a “real-life superhero.”

“He’s played the ultimate impresario, a legendary Australian entertainer, a sizzling superhero, a very romantic revolutionary, and let’s be honest—he is consistently the world’s leading man,” Kors said. “One of the many things I admire about Hugh is that when he sees suffering in the world around him, he identifies the problem and goes to work finding a solution. It’s very much the thinking behind God’s Love We Deliver.”

Accepting his award, Jackman rendered the crowd awestruck as he broke out into song, belting out the chorus of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’,” which he famously sang in his lead role as Curly McLain in the musical film “Oklahoma!” back in 1999.

“It’s such a great honor to be awarded the Michael Kors award, from Michael Kors, wearing a Michael Kors outfit,” said Jackman, twirling behind the podium to show off his custom grey suit before closing out the evening on a heartfelt note. “When you hear about what God’s Love We Deliver is doing, you can’t help but to feel that this is the truth; this is right.”
