Toronto

From CONTEMPORTARY ARTand AMAZING VICTORIAN-ERA ARCHITECTURE to FIVE-STAR RESTAURANTS and GREAT THEATRE,TORONTO is one of THOSE CITIES that HAS IT ALL— and is ALWAYS CHANGING! Here are MY FAVORITE PLACES AND SPACES right now.

…a seafood lunch at Colette. It will transport you to the Côte d’Azure as soon as you step in the door— and who doesn’t love that?
…a steak dinner at Jacobs & Co. It has a very sophisticated, members-only atmosphere. The minimalist décor puts the focus entirely on the steak—which is fantastic.
…at The Burger’s Priest. I’m always on the hunt for the best burgers—this one competes with my favorites in New York and LA.
…the thin-crust pizza at Pizzeria Libretto. It’s the best place to eat wood-fired oven pizza when you can’t make it to Naples.
…why not stop in Spain too? The cured meats and cheese, the fresh fish, the inventive specials —nothing disappoints at Bar Isabel.
…I always love an Italian dinner, and the modern twists on the classics at Buca Yorkville are what foodie dreams are made of.

…Casa Loma—a medieval castle, complete with a secret garden and conservatory, right in the city!
…the Richard Serra pieces at the Art Gallery of Ontario—he’s one of my favorite artists and his pieces are always on display in the Contemporary collection.
…the documentary-like photographs at the Bulger Gallery. I love the photos of real people captured in the moment–it’s almost like a history lesson.
…Toronto, with a drink in hand, from The Roof Lounge at the Park Hyatt. Good bartenders, great drinks, and an unbeatable view.

...the boutiques and shops in the Distillery District. I love the cultivated selection at Lileo, and just walking through the area of Victorian-era buildings inspires me.
…on Bloor Street in Yorkville. I first fell in love with this street when we opened our store. The Holt Renfrew here also has an amazing selection of high-end labels—I never walk out empty-handed.
…vintage pieces and unique pop-up shops in the Ossington area. It’s like a shopping treasure hunt, and the pop-up shops keep it ever-changing.

...Jakeman’s maple syrup from the shop in St. Lawrence Market.
