If you want to get the most out a short stint in a new city, nothing beats an itinerary curated by a native. So after photographing Lily Aldridge in and around the sprawling, sunny metropolis, we sat down with the L.A.-born and raised-model to map out a perfect day in the City of Angels for us—from her favorite food spots to the can’t-miss locations.

Rise and Shine

9:00am

Start your morning with a hike in the RUNYON CANYON PARK, and enjoy the view—and celebrity spotting—this walk has to offer. “My number one packing item for California is a great pair of sneakers for hiking,” says Lily.

12:00pm

French Bistro PETIT TROIS is one of Lily’s favorite restaurants, and their brunch menu (open from 12pm) is beloved by both foodies  and the fashion set alike. “Petit Trois chef Ludo Lefebvre is a genius!” says Lily.

Sunny State of Mind

 

No trip to Los Angeles would be complete without a beach visit. Grab your chicest beachwear for a stylish afternoon of surf, sand and people watching. Channel the “laid-back and effortless” California style, says Lily.

12:30pm

On your way to the beach, make like a supermodel and pick up a couple of drinks from Lily’s favorite juice store, PRESSED JUICERY.

1:00pm

Rent a bike from SANTA MONICA BEACH  and take a spin along the boardwalk up to VENICE BEACH. There’s no better way to see the L.A. coastline!

3:00pm

Undo all your good work from biking with a fast food stop that’s quintessentially Californian (read: super fresh, high quality ingredients).IN-N-OUT do the best burgers in LA!” says Lily.

4:00pm

Treat your taste buds to PINKBERRY, the international frozen yogurt phenomenon that was founded in L.A. “My personal order: the original with strawberries, granola and coconut,” says Lily.

Night on the Town

 

Make the most of that warm L.A. climate with a cream eyelet-lace mini and lashings of gold— because if you can’t in Hollywood, where can you?

6:00pm

Make sure to settle yourself in at a rooftop bar (hello, SUNSET TOWER) or garden terrace (celebrity hot-spot CHATEAU MARMONT  is one of Lily’s favorite places for a cocktail)  before sundown to catch one of L.A.’s picturesque sunsets.

8:00pm

Head to Beverly Boulevard for a meal at one of Lily’s all-time favorite restaurants: the renowned ANGELINI OSTERIA “The sea  urchin pasta is a must-try,” says Lily.
