South Korea’s Rising Stars

Michael Kors and Harper’s Bazaar Korea celebrate the new generation of Korean women making waves.

From the runway to the red carpet to dressing women around the globe, Michael Kors has long been a champion of women—and this year he’s turning his eyes to South Korea. The designer has partnered with Harper’s Bazaar Korea for “Young Korea,” a special  project celebrating seven of South Korea’s rising stars. Model Soo Joo Park, actresses Seo Ji-hye and Ryu Hwa-young, singers Ailee and Yubin and fashion influencer Irene Kim all star in the luxe feature wearing the best of the Resort 2017 Michael Kors Collection.

“I’m so glad we’ve partnered with Harper’s Bazaar to capture these talented women on the rise. These women are making their mark on the fashion set, on South Korea, and on the world at large. They’re encouraging young women to follow their dreams, and what could be better than that?” says Michael Kors.

The partnership comes just in time for Michael’s visit to South Korea next month to celebrate two major milestones for the brand. Michael Kors will launch its first lifestyle store, located in Seoul’s Garosu-gil precinct, and the first Korean flagship to house Michael Kors Collection, located in Seoul’s prestigious Cheongdam-dong area, which will house the Resort 2017 clothing captured in the Harper’s Bazaar feature.
