Inspired by a chic road trip through the high desert, lead makeup artist Dick Page and lead hair stylist Orlando Pita brought a windswept, laid-back mood to the runway. Page accentuated the brows and dusted bronzer on the face for a natural glow, trading in lipstick for translucent lip balm. It was all about earthy elegance—not a mascara brush or eyeliner pencil in sight. To complement the pared-back makeup, Pita styled a perfectly imperfect updo to convey the artistic, bohemian attitude. In the case of Spring 2016 beauty, less really is more.
THERE’S WARMTH TO THE SKIN. MICHAEL MENTIONED THE WOMEN PHOTOGRAPHED BY PETER LINDBERGH. THEY HAVE THAT KIND OF QUALITY WHERE YOU HAVE A SENSE OF THE SKIN. YOU CAN SEE FRECKLES AND TEXTURES. IT’S ALL TRANSPARENT AND BELIEVABLE.
